Ribble Valley CRC Gets New Website

The committee are pleased to announce the arrival of a brand new Ribble Valley CRC website at www.ribblevalleycrc.com that will hopefully mean more interaction from members and an increased conversion rate of new visitors to new members.

The site has been designed and built by a local company with all our requests and recommendations in mind, several elements have also been added following consultation with the designers.

New functionality on the website includes:

  • Functionality across all major browsers including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera and the Safari for iPhone (previously the website worked only in Internet Explorer)
  • An improved layout that will help new users to navigate to important information quicker and easier, making their visit to the site more enjoyable
  • A comprehensive Who's Who of committee members with contact forms enabling users to email members from the site
  • An interactive calendar function which is updated by the web team to include all events organised and entered by the club
  • One single place for news items to be listed on the website, along with a Twitter feed on the main page from the club's Twitter account. We also now have a repository of Club Newsletters that can be downloaded by members and interested visitors
  • A dynamic photo gallery allowing photos to be split into categories and displayed as an interactive slideshow for visitors
  • An extensive content management system meaning that the web team (consiting of committee members) can alter and update the website quickly, easily and without hassle, thus leading to a more up to date, factual and timely website for all

Elements of the new site are still being developed by the club and will be made available as soon as they are ready. In the meantime please feel free to explore the new site and get to know its layout and navigation. We are sure you'll agree that we know have one of the leading websites among the region's cycling clubs and we aim to keep it that way by updating elements when necessary.
