I joined the Ribble Valley in 1987. I got my first bike when I was 12 years old and therein started what I hope to be my lifelong association with cycling. I enjoy all aspects of the sport from social riding to racing including mountain biking and touring. Highlights of my cycling career include the Raid Pyrenean, Raid Alpine, Ascent of Mont Ventoux and many more local challenging trips including the Coast to Coast. I have undertaken many tours over the years and spent 5 weeks touring New Zealand back in 1994.
In 2003 I was appointed Vice Chairman of the Club and have held the position ever since. I organise, along with fellow club member Dave Kershaw, the mountain bike ride on the first Saturday of the month and I am also responsible for the Hilly 19 Time Trial event that is run each year.
