COME YOUTH HOSTELLING IN THE EDEN VALLEY

Date: 8th, 9th, and 10 August (return home on 11th)

Fri, Sat and Sunday night at Dufton Youth Hostel, near Appleby

Cost:

£15.95 for one night’s stay. 3 nights would be £47.85.
Breakfast is extra, usually about £5 per person.
We ordered the hostel evening meal last year but thought we might try the pub across the village green from the hostel this year for a change.

Flexible Itinerary

Thursday 7th – Drop bags off for transportation to Dufton YHA

Friday 8th – Ride out to Dufton, with a break for lunch at Sedbergh (total mileage to Dufton is about 75)

Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th – Ride out from the hostel each day. Spectacular scenery and very quiet roads.

Monday 11th – Ride home to Preston

Anyone who cannot get time off work could just stay for 2 out of the 3 nights. See Ken or Janette about this.
